Gold Tip Trads
« on: December 14, 2007, 05:33:00 PM »
Just got a few Gold Tip 35/55's...

I like to use Bohing Signature nocks or the easton uni-nock, noticed they fit pretty loose.

any body have any tips for building these nocks up for a tighter fit.  I'm not crazy about Gold Tips Nocks??

Thank you

Take some Saran Wrap and put the end of the nock that goes in the arrow in it, then push it into the arrow shaft as normal.  Right before it sits flush with the shaft, take a razor blade and cut around the Saran Wrap so you have a nice clean line.  Then push it the rest of the way in.  Nice, clean install, with nothing showing, and you can turn them to adjust as normal.  If you need to pull them out, you just re-use the saran wrap, or do it over again.  I've done it tons of times, as I really like the Easton 3D Super Nocks better than any other I've used.
All the best,
Glenn

For an even tighter fit... use a piece of thin plastic shopping bag from a grocery store in the same way as above.  My favorite ones are usually almost transparent tan color.  They seem to be the thinnest, and work the best.
All the best,
Glenn

Gator,
Just make sure the fit isn't too tight.  Glad to be of help.
All the best,
Glenn
