Coinless '60 Kodiak DeLuxe
« on: October 20, 2012, 07:29:00 AM »
I just bought a coinless 1960 Kodiak DeLuxe on the big auction.  I have read about coinless '60s being out there but have never seen one in the Kodiak bows.  Does anyone have an idea of how many were built prior to the coin being used?  I assume any of them out there will have low serial numbers.

The coins started in early 1959.

It is very low, AO14AA and 42#.  Now that I know that they may exist I will have to look for a Kodiak Special DeLuxe coinless to make it a set of four.  I bought a really rough Special DeLuxe and refinished it.  It is tough to do much with the clear glass but I did improve the hazing a bit. I would think that the 59 coinless would be easier to find since the coins didn't start until early 59.

There is no place for a coin on this bow.  It is smooth as a babie's behind where the coin should be.
