1963 Bear Cub rest?
« on: December 31, 2012, 12:08:00 PM »
I recently picked up a super nice 1963 dogleg Cub, great shooting bow by the way, and I am wondering whether the original rest was Bear hair or a continuation of the black pigskin arrow plate?

The arrow plate looks to be cut too cleanly to be a trim job so I am suspecting that it may have had the greenish rug rest but I can't find any pictures anywhere that show the original rest.

Which rest type would be correct?

Thanks,

Brad

Thank you, that's what I was afraid of.  The arrow plate is really nice so I'll just put a rug on the shelf since matching that pigskin for a replacement won't be easy.
