Paid $60 for mine in 1988.  They are selling high on **** right now.  Seems folks like the green Futurewood almost as well as the older block-wood risers.  I've been told mine is a 1973.

For those interested, there is a magnificent Kodiak Hunter on the big auction site. Ends in 3 hours or so.
The wood is absolutely beautiful and the bow looks mint.58" and 45#

Good luck!

I was told by a friend that collects Kodiak Hunters that if the glass overlays on the riser is black and white that it is a '73 thru '75 but it's difficult to tell which year.  The '76 and '77 models have green and blue Futurewood overlays on the riser.  The '76 serial numbers started with KT and the '77 model serial numbers started with KH.  Hope this helps.

There is a good thread on here somewhere that has a dating guide for the kodiak hunters.

I would say $125.00 to $175.00,  and thats just a guess.  I know the curcumstances are differant but I have purchased two of them at yard sales for $60.00 each and one is really nice.

They are great shooters.  I have a third KH that was given to me by my dad in 1969.  It was a new 1968, 45#er that he pulled from stock when he sold his store in 1968.

I bought a '69 kodiak hunter on this site last may and paid 150.00 to my door. The bow was in great shape.

Popularity of Khunters seems to ebb and flow. You can get a real sweet one for less than $200 -- quite a bit less once in awhile -- if you are patient, clever and lucky. I think they are remarkably good bows and the several that I have all shoot really well.
