Clicking noise on Bear limb
« on: January 13, 2013, 05:57:00 PM »
Anyone know how to stop a clicking noise coming from the latch area on the top limb of my Bear takedown?

Open the latch and see if it still makes the noise.

You can also get a click from string wax in the groove on the limb and it may sound like it is at the riser.

I experienced the same after changing out limbs on a b riser. Everything appeared to be just fine. The click went away after settling in and shooting for a while.
Other take downs that I have had this problem with was resolved with a thin layer of felt at the base of the limb where it attaches to the riser.
I agree with Ron, "check for wax in the string grove".
