Just picked this copy of Field Notes on the big auction site. Couldn't resist placing a bid on it as I am a nut for this signature. Book on the left in picture

Don't really use them anymore, so I'd give them both up to have something signed by Fred Bear!!!

I like Fred Bear but you would probally hang me if I told ya I have a paper deer tarket up in my attic that I had Fred sign at the Bowhunters discount wharehouse back in mid to late 80's when he was there with his oxygen tanks...Does anyone remember that day?
I believe he came by helicopter..
I got Fred, Tom Jennings,Tom Flemming and Myles Keller to sign that paper target for me before I paid for it at the counter...I had nothing with me to sign that day so I hurried and grabbed the paper target and stood in line...Fred signed it right in the heart ...
I need to go up and get it just to look at it again...    :dunno:   why I never framed it..Paper probally is torn from being up there so long...

Keefer, I remember that day well; Brother and I went down to see him and Tom Jennings.  I had him sign my mag handle and he says it was in very good condition.  Still have it.  Had Tom Flemming autograph is book on rattling.  Bowhunter Warehouse had some good rendezvous over the years.

Dennis,
It sure was good to see him in person and not to take this off the subject but remember Myles was there for the "Sent Shield" products if I remember correctly and I use that earth sent spray still today since I hunt the ground most the time...
I remember asking Fred about that necklace thing he had on and I thought he told me it was made with some of the ivory from his elephant he taken years ago...My memory isn't the best but did you see that on him that day?
He sure was a "Gentleman" and his spirit lives on still today.....
