« on: December 10, 2013, 10:45:00 AM »
Someone sent me one of the black zippered case. The liner was gone so I cleaned the residue and want to put some more foam. How thick was it  and were their any cutouts in the orginal. The case is thin and made for a mag takedown I believe.I have a mag riser A-size that I just painted.Any info would help. Thanks in advance

Don't know exactly, but there was a thin strip about 1/4" on the bottom, then the middle with the cutout was about as think as the riser and limbs.  The top layer was as thick as the first.

Most folks I know and myself who have and use these cases line them with carpet. In fact I have seven most of which came with wooden handles and came from other collectors are all set up that way.

This is what I used in mine. I'm very pleased with it. I used spray adhesive to hold it in place.
