Advice on refinishing glass limbs?
« on: March 03, 2014, 10:39:00 AM »
I have several bows I'm working on, with varying color limb glass.  Two have some real stress lines/cracks in the glass, but nothing that can't be filled and fixed.

My question is, what is the best way to go about handling really dirty or cracked light colored glass?

Is filling with ca glue and sanding down/ re coating with poly the best option. Or is there another way... Like maybe a paint that poly can be out on over ?

I have used snakeskin on some really bad limbs before, but that is expensive, and these limbs aren't in that rough shape.

Thanks
