Craig,

For a short period I was gathering Kodiak Specials to have one from every year that they were produced. Although I have a couple '63s and a '65 I don't believe I ever owned a 1964 before I gave up on the idea.

It looks very much like the 1964 Kodiak in Wade's pictures, even to the grain of the riser wood...Kodiak Specials were the top-of-the-line bows for Bear when they were being made yet they have never had the collector appeal that the Kodiaks have enjoyed...of course now that Kodiak prices are generally deflated prices are closer together...one thing you should be very pleased about is the intact brush rest...those can be difficult to find

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Pretty bow, for sure

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

Alright, so it looks like it is a '64.  I have one opinion of 150. to 250. depending on condition.

Would anyone else like to add any other thoughts on value?

Yes, it is 1964 for sure. At 66", it is the most common length of the three different lengths of the 1964 Kodiak Specials. The 150 to 250 range depending on condition is realistic for this year and length bow.

It appears to be in very nice condition except the small scratch you point out. The "+" stamp you show over the serial number should not effect the desirability nor value of the bow for a knowledgeable collector.

With no holes, no vertical stress cracks in the glass it looks like a nice bow for the collector/shooter.
