Can you date this bow??
« on: December 14, 2014, 09:36:00 PM »
I recently bought a vintage BEAR "BROWN BEAR" AMO 60". 45# RECURVE. It was made in Grayling Michigan and has the standing bear decal. I can't put a year on it except I know it is 78 or earlier since it says Grayling Michigan on the handle.

Anyone know of this model?? I would guess early to mid 70s if I had to put money on it.

I know it is one of the lesser known Bear models and really not that popular for collectors.  It is of average quality, but still made well enough for every day shooting. I believe they have fiberglass limbs and a plastic handle made for both righties and lefties.  I've seen values around $20-$50.

I do not know actual years of production, but believe it's from the mid-70's, so I think you will not lose any money you bet.
