« on: April 17, 2015, 09:34:00 AM »
Attention Everyone A friend of mine had some bows stolen from his work shop. Please be aware for someone trying to sell them.

1) 1959 Bear Kodiak DC229, 64", 44#, WITH "FRED BEAR" SIGNATURE IN THE SIGHT WINDOW. I will post a pic

2) New, Pacific Yew Classic Longbow, 64", 60#, with Jay St.Charles signature, light brown lace up on grip

3) Kramer Longbow 65#, "LYLE D. KIER" inscribed on the bow, also has the word "Modine" inscribed on a limb.

4) Osage Self Bow, approx. 30 years old, 66", 45#, with Jay St.Charles signature

Thank you for the heads up. Someone will try and get top dollar for that Fred Bear signed 59 and get busted.

Lon (Blackhawk) has this on Powwow -
Jay St. Charles had 4 bows stolen from his shop in Western WA on or about April 15.

Every collector is a friend of the St. Charles family.

If they were stolen by someone that does not know what they have, the bows may never surface again.  Let's hope that they are in the hands of someone that will try to move them as collectables.

I suggest keeping this thread bumped to the top every few days so eventually most collectors that drop by will see the continued interest in it and then read it.

Fricken low life Thieves!!!
Lots of time they steal and don't have the faintest idea what they have taken and then dump it for the first buck that comes along.
Then there is the other side that is still the low life individual but knows what they have. If that be the case here the pass along will not be an easy one unless to another one of there low life buddies!!

This has also been posted in many trad forums across Facebook. Many many people on them, and hopefully the bows will be spotted. I just hope that someone does not alter them to try and make not recognizable
