Unique Bear Medallion
« on: March 25, 2016, 04:23:00 PM »
Somebody asked me recently about a Bear medallion that had a picture of Papa Bear on in instead of the Bear logo.  Does anyone know what years this was made?

Jon Stewart asked the question a couple weeks ago, and here was my answer:

In his book on Bear bows, Choppen stated these coins were used from 1998-2003 and often referred to as "Freddy Kruger" coins.

If you've ever seen the movie "Nightmare on Elm Street", you got the image. I agree, but cannot believe it took the company that long to dump the coin since it was dreadful.

Sorry about the double post.  I'll pass the info on to my customer.  I know he would like to get his hands on a few.
