24SRT-X "Ben Pearson" 1818
« on: September 03, 2016, 11:08:00 AM »
Found some arrows in a Bear box and purchased them. None were actual Bear arrows as far as I can see but some were dipped and crested and marked. "Ben Pearson 24SRT-X@ 1818".

I bought them for kids to shoot but IDK. Maybe they have collector's value. I know that the 24SRT-X is Doug Easton's first real success story from the mid 40's. What I don't know is how long they were produced or if these things should be kept not shot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know exactly how long in the 60's the srt shafts were made but they are not a rare collectable. The problem they have is they bend easy. Should be fine for the kids to shoot. You can straighten them as they bend them.

I bought them in the 70's too. I quit using them pretty quickly after finding out how easy the bent.
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

I shot them in the 60s. Very soft arrows though.
