Shakespeare WAMBAW?
« on: October 07, 2016, 08:18:00 PM »
A guy I work with gave me one of these it's really clean. It says model X 12 and it's 58"-#55-@28. K5768C. He also gave me a all glass ambidextrous men's target and field Bows 4/45 it has a old hushhh 4arrow slide on quiver. He gave me arrows with them to boot. They were his dad's who passed away last year at 87. Does anyone know much about them?

Thanks,
Steve Jr

Your Wambaw was made in October 1975. They're a very good bow and are similar to the later model Necedahs (and Super Necedahs) with the hand forward riser.

Not many of them around. Since Shakespeare quit building traditional bows in 1975 this is likely one of the last traditional bows that Shakespeare made.

The old Shakespeare bows are sweet shooting bows. If more guys shot them they would see how nice they shoot. Some of the nicest shooting old bows out there.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your knowledge. He said as far as he knew his dad never used it. It's in excellent condition. It has the original string and has no nocking point on it. I might string it and shoot it. I will keep you posted.

Thanks again,

Pics would be nice.
