Bought a 15 dollar bow a while back, covered with thick cloth camo tape. Thought it was a one piece bow. Stripped the tape off and found a pristine Bear take down with magnesium riser. The only numbers I found on it were 3-2787. Is there anyway to date this bow? With the tape off this by far the smoothest bow I have ever owned.

I would guess by what you are saying that it’s a Magnesium handle take-down A-B-C made between 1971-1978- thats a pretty stellar deal!

Thanks, good to know. It's a B handle, 64" 38 lb. I'm pretty much stuck in the 70's myself!

Well, you're stuck with a heck of a deal. Nice going. If you're ever in the market for limbs, the ones Bear make now will fit that riser.
