50's Bear static tip
« on: August 17, 2018, 04:28:37 PM »
Picked up a 50's static tip Bear recently . Solid shape, but decals and specs are gone. It's 60", dual shelf, dark brown glass back and belly, two maple lams and static tips with a single white overlay. I'm thinking Grizzly? What's the correct brace height? Year? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like a 1955 Kodiak.  Can't be a grizzly, they were 62 inches.

Not sure of brace height, I usually start at about 7.5" for most bows.

Sorry, typo. It's 62" I've got a 58" string on it now, braced about 7 1/2". Cannot believe how well it shoots.
