Prayers Please
« on: August 31, 2006, 10:20:00 AM »
We received two calls this morning that were unexpected.  Last night, our uncle and Patiarch of our family, lost a fierce and courageous battle with cancer.  Our Uncle Don was a combat veteran of WWII, who survived D-Day and many battles throughout Europe.  Shortly after receiving that phone call, I received one from my close friend and business associate who said that she had been diagnosed with cancer yesterday. Please take a moment to help us celibrate the life of a very brave and courageous man and also please say a prayer for my friend and her family.  Thank You in advance, to the traditional community.
          PEACE,
            Frank

Prayers for all concerned sent from Georgia.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

Frank,

You can count on the prayers. Prayers for your family as they deal with the loss of Uncle Don.  He's made whole and perfect now standing before Christ Jesus.  That initially doesn't ease the pain we feel, nor the loss, but that loss is how it should be when one so dear has gone on home. That knowledge will in time bring peace. May the Holy Spirit bring that peace to you and all concerned quickly.

I also ask for God, the Great Physician to minister to your friend in her battle witht he dreaded Big C.  But regardless, this body is but a temporary housing... She will be healed as we all will one day. May the Lord see fit to bring that healing upon her in her time here on Earth to witness to His glory!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])
