Need help with some grief
« on: September 07, 2006, 12:51:00 PM »
Had to have one of my dogs put down today, she was a fine bird dog, a beautiful Golden Retriever, who was a friend to all she came in contact with. She would have been 13 next month, and was one of my closest friends. Thanks for listening.

Prayer of comfort sent. I've got that to look forward to with our 16 year dachound. They get to be closer then family sometimes cause they are by your side sharing your loves.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

peace be with you and your family.  I can't have dogs due to horrible allergies, and can't even spend a lot of time with friends...but they can worm their way into your heart and I can't imagine how painful it has to be.

Carry those wonderful 13 years of memories in your heart...

Shalom

Many people think pets are not part of the family, I firmly disagree, I think they are as much a part of the family as anyone else, maybe more, they listen without interrupting, they don't judge, they love you no matter what. I feel bad for you, my prayers are for you to remember the good times you had.
God Bless

Father God, I may not understand the depths of this brothers grief, but I do know that you do. Guide him and lead him to appreciate the blessedness of the relationship he has had. Help him to accept and understand, and prepare him for what is ahead. Golden memories are to be treasured, and we thank you for them, amen.

In His Love and Service,
peace
