Doug Campbell in path of MT wildfire
« on: September 12, 2006, 09:14:00 AM »
I just got another update on the wildfire in MT from Doug Campbell and thought, "Jeeze, we all should be praying for Doug and all those in the path of these fires."

It does not appear he's in imminent danger "at this moment", but the devastation is pretty horrendous and from the news clips carried back here, it sounds like this has been a particularly eventful fire year throughout the Northwest and Southwest regions.

Prayers for all in harms way. Those whose living, homes and lives are in danger and for those incredible souls who stand at the mouth of hell to fight these horrific fires of nature.

The constant rebirth of nature isn't very forgiving, praying that Doug is safe.

Just got an update...fires is within 5 miles and some have evacuated.  Doug and family elected to stay. Last email from Karen said they just lost phones a while ago.

Lord, in your mercy..keep our friends and all in the fire's path safe from harm... watch over those who battle these horrific blazes everywhere.

Heard from Karen today 2x.  Said the "cow camp" was spared last night.."even the outhouse!" Some humor sounded good.  Last was that things were quieter...hope that continues and this blaze burns out soon or it rains a lot!!!

looks like the fire calmed down a bit and they sepnt the night fighting hot spots with neighbors.

Cooler weather and some chance of rain might bring much needed relief! Prayers continue!

Wow, thanks everybody, you can't imagine how much your thoughts and prayers are appreciated!! We had some hairy times thru this but hopefully it's over. It started raining yesterday evening and rained all night, has even snowed some today. Please remember all those who weren't as fortunate as us, (don't remember for sure but it was close to 30 homes lost) and all the folks who fought and helped thru this disaster.

Thank you Lord watching over all and God Bless y'all!

Great news. I was so tickled to get that note over the weekend... saying of rain.

Hopefully, now you all can get some rest and the smell of smoke out of your noses.  I know your beloved hunting grounds have been changed, but so much more has survived intact and yes, Thank You, Lord!

Thanks to God, Doug I don't want to hear that 4 letter word again, Snow! Yuk, glad you're ok,

VB,

I would say that Doug thinks that SNOW is a much nicer four letter word than FIRE.
