A prayer please..
« on: March 05, 2007, 05:13:00 PM »
Wow. I've never been on the requesting end of one of these before. The reason I haven't visited for a while is because my better half's Mom went in two weeks ago to remove several aortic anuerisms. They have not been able to ween her off of the breathing tube, and her kidneys have not started working again yet. I just received a call that they are taking her back in to surgery a 6PM tonight due to some kind of possible infection.

I have some bad feelings about this (only admitted here of course), and my wife doesn't want me to bring our son up (nothing me or him can do anyway) so all we can do is sit around and wait. Her brothers and sister are with her.

So if you are the praying kind, I'd appreciate a few good thoughts thrown her way. Thanks.

YOu ask, you get here! Prayers away for God's will and the strength for all who love "mom" to know that God is in charge and even when the answer is "no" He hears our prayers and does what He knows is best.

"Lord, if it be your will, please allow Jim's mother-in-law to experience complete healing and be a testement to your Glory and Grace." Amen.
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Thank you everyone. I must admit to a renewed faith in the power of prayer. You people are awesome.

As an update, we are not out of the woods yet, but we are definately taking baby steps in the right direction. Little improvements every day. I can't ask for more, and am grateful for people like you and (professing again) my savior Jesus Christ who will heal and see us through this.
