I hear ya, in the same boat as your son and many fellers for that matter. Wife walked over a week ago after twenty six years. I have no job also, but life goes on and one can't live in the past but look to the future. God bless your son and tell him to hang in there. there's still many blessings if we look.

Gobbler,
That's bad news brother, but at least He's got his family to be there for him. That means a lot when you lose your partner. Although sometimes it's best. Mr. Vic, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. It's not easy to adjust to being by yourself, but it really does get better with time. Don't try to figure it all out or you'll lose your sanity. Just keep your eyes on the cross and HIS will , will prevaile. Please don't think I'm preaching, I've just been there. Prayers will be sent up for all.
                              GOD BLESS YOU
                                ARCHER2

Last couple of years of trials still teach me lessons even now that things have eased a bit...

One is that challenges are part of life...and the devil never rests in trying to pry us from walking closer with God.  Second is as stated above...blessings abound if we but look past the challenges.

One teacher of mine says that "it's not a praise sacrifice if it doesn't cost us something, so like Paul, we need to offer up praises to God even for the challenges which make us stronger."

Tough words...but I found them to be ever so true.

Blessing to both men with relationship issues and the additional challenges. What incredible journey of growth face you both... I wouldn't trade those last 29 months of living hell for anything given what I learned from folks here and through God's nudgings when I pulled my head outa my pockets to smell the roses.  Prayers for both!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!
