Trad bud's procedure tomorrow
« on: May 22, 2007, 10:03:00 AM »
One of our Trad buds from SC is undergoing a "procedure" tomorrow..surgical in nature, and could use a few prayers.

He has a good attitude but these "guy things" always bring some fear.

I don't want to over-step Don's boundaries of decorum by saying more'n I know he'd want...but perhaps we could all say a few extra prayers for it be God's will that Don's procedure to go well, no surprises found and a quick healing and rebound.

Lord, in your mercy.

Don's from NC (but I'm sure the Lord knows where he and his wife are as they are active in their Church). I join Doc, and others in praying that Don has an easy time of it tomorrow and all goes well in the aftermath of the prceedure - by Lord's will.

Not his prosthesis, I hope.  :scared:

Pat his hand and say "There, there." for me, Bernie. (I'm serious about this one.)  :readit:

I called Don, this evening and he had just returned about a half hour before. He was in considerable discomfort, ranging to real pain, but said the Dr. told Rhonda that the proceedure went well and everything was as expected. So he was feeling good about that. I told him to have Rhonda be sure to call me if anything took a turn for the worse.
Thanks for the prayers and concernes all - Don was pleased, I could tell.

Bless your heart, Don. Glad to hear it - and the others will be too. Thank you, Lord.

(As an aside, I also feel better today than yesterday - but I didn't go through anything like you did.)

Yeah - me too. I thoutht you said you had an extra but Ruthie wouldn't wear it, so you stopped carrying it - my ears weren't too good eithert , I guess. I can't believe I didn't have one in my gear box - I always carry one just in case - except this time, when I really needed it.
Thank God for Killie's foresight of an extra - it really helped the second and third night. In fact, I gonna go put one of mine back in my box, rat na-ow!!!

Don, may God's will keep you healing fast.
