Service men and women
« on: December 22, 2007, 08:42:00 AM »
I know we all have our service men and women in our daily prayers, but we need to say a special prayer for them at this time of year being away from family and friends doing their jobs to keep us free to have our holidays at home.  God Bless them and watch over them and bring them home soon.

Father we thank You for these people and their families who are giving so much for our protection and freedom. Please comfort and  protect them through these holidays and always.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Fisher...if we were all right minded, we'd all likely be praying, hard as it seems to do, for those poor folks who wage war on "infidels" and believe in false gods and worse, that suicide and indiscriminate bombing, torture, etc. are a way to heaven as they perceive it.

I don't do enough to pray for those in my own life who challenge me, and here we are praying rightfully for all who risk everything to protect our life and way of life...

Forgive me Lord for my own narrow mindeness and heart-hearted thinking about those who challenge my beliefs and walking in your Ways.

Lord, we ask that you be with our enemies as well. You will not force redemention on anyone, and we feel overwhelmed with those who believe as our radical muslim and terror minded enemies believe, but we ask, in Your Infinite Wisdom to find a way to crack open their dark hearts and allow the light of your Holy Spirit to shine through...according to Your Plan, Lord. Amen

Fisher, may daily prayers is for all service people no matter what country they are from. If they believe in our LORD they are indeed missing their family and friends that are having their holidays back home. I know how bad it is being away from home and family and friends this tme of the year.
