Prayers for my Bro in Iraq
« on: January 25, 2008, 11:49:00 AM »
Some of you know my youngest brother is in Iraq and has been there for about 6 months. He is due hom in April. All has been pretty smooth for him until a week ago.

A few days ago 1 soldier was killed in his platoon when they were entering a house and a guy was inside with a bomb attached to him. The guy was the first one in and couldnt react in time, there were also a few others who were injured. And it started a all day fire fight but noone else was injured.

Then day before yesterday he was sleeping and woke to hear someone screaming for everyone to get out of the barracks they awoke to find thier barracks was on fire. Some arson set it on fire and all three barracks burned and he lost all his stuff. He was able to get back inside and get his Military pack, Ipod and camera! He said all 30 soldiers lost everything they owned over there.

So please say a prayer for his safety if you could.

Here is a Dorky pic he sent along with the update, I guess its his way of saying he is still strong enough to handle his problems/surroundings, either that or he was sending a manly pic for his girlfiend!! LOL

Your brother & his friends & comrads in Iraq are keeping me safe to enjoy whatever freedoms our great country has to offer. I do not take it for granted!!! Please let them know for me.
Dear Lord bless these patriots with skill and courage to remain safe throughout their tours and return home. Comfort their families so they may know faithfully your will be done. Bless those less fortunate with peace and hope of a better world beyond mortal comprehension waiting where we'll be together again in God's presence. Amen.

This war, as many, is a complicated thing...

All I know for sure is my heart goes out to all those who serve.

Prayers for strength, peace and safety for your brother and all in harm's way! May they truly feel God's love surround them and keep them safe.
