Saturday the son of a friend was drinking with a buddy and played Russian roulette and lost. Please keep the family in your prayers.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Somedays are harder to come here than others... :(

Lord, you know our sorrow at the news we find here of troubles, trials and tragedy among our friends.

You know we stray. We leave things undone. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves...and the list goes on, yet we know you love us.

We ask that you lay your peace on the family of this young man whose momentary lapse of judgement led to his end. Be with his soul, Lord and forgive him his youthful behavior. Bring peace and strength to his family and friends.

Let others use this tragedy to help other young people see the folly of mis-adventures.

We ask in your loving Son's name, Jesus, Amen.

There is no greater comfort than in his presence.  The is no greater peace than in his arms. May the Lord enfold you and this young man's family in his arms and give you comfort.
