Back at the end of July, I severely dislocated my left (dominant) thumb...so bad, I really tore up some ligaments and tendons. Went thru months of therapy and non invasive solutions...none worked at all. So for over seven months now, no work and no bows. Today I find out if we will need to go further with surgical procedures from the one hand specialist, then I'm slated in two weeks to get the second opinion. A month ago the hand specialist told me there was a 40 to 60% chance for regaining 75% use of thumb on my dominant hand....ligament and tendon damage is rather extensive, and alot of gray area. Both thumb joints are a wreck still. It's been seven months, and the palm region is still swollen. Today I begin to find out the specifics of the process. My last visit, he began talking about rebuilding the joint and I hope to find out about the ligaments...apparently, being torn apart for that long isn't a good thing, and they certainly haven't healed back anywhere near where they should be.
I haven't been on here since around Christmas time...heck, haven't even been online. I've always believed in the power of prayers, so I ask for them here, now. I am way backed up on the work load, and need to get back at it !
Thank you. God Bless. Bill
