I need some prayer for healing
« on: August 19, 2008, 07:06:00 PM »
I have been having some trouble for the past few weeks....pain and weakness in my shoulders and neck mostly. The doctors thought I might have lyme disease, but it appears that I have some nerve damage in my neck and possibly some degenerative stuff going on in my neck. I don't recall doing anything in particular, but this is making me sick. I have been told not to shoot my bow (which I can't even draw anyway) and not to lift over 35#. Doctors appointment tomorrow and an MRI after that. The doctor jokingly told me to sell my bows and buy a gun....didn't find it funny. Just kinda bumbed out so if you find the time to lift me up in your prayers, all it can do is help. Thanks and God bless. Mike

Mike prayers sent. Also this might help your faith. It's from a friend at church who has had a degenerative spine disease for many years. She has been severely bent over and twisted. Sunday during our worship time they asked her to come forward to share with us. She stood up straight and walk forward to share what God had done for her. Really great to see her healed. Here is the e-mail she sent me telling what happened.

"I woke up on Saturday morning and went to wash up.  While I was brushing my teeth I noticed that the bathroom countertop and sink seemed lower than I had remembered them.  I didn’t spend too much time thinking about it – after all, it was early Saturday morning – but then I went into the kitchen to make coffee, and not only was the countertop very low, but I was able to retrieve the coffee can from the cabinet without any stretching – I just reached in to get it.  I mused over it as I measured the coffee, and then, still in my pajamas (and with Brit bursting at the seams because I hadn’t taken her out yet), I looked at my reflection in the full-length mirror in the hall, and there I was, not perfectly straight to be sure, but so much better than I had been!
The only thing I can come up with is that I’d come to a place of relative contentment, resigned to being bent, thinking that Abba had me right where He wanted me, and that was OK with me.  I’d even stopped asking for healing because I honestly believed that it was His will for me to be that way and I didn’t want to pray at cross purposes with His will.  I confess to being a little numbed by this; there were no angelic choirs, no crowds pressing in to see the Master touch me, just a quiet hug and a wink from my adorable, magnificent Daddy.

Thank you for rejoicing with me!  Love in our Healer,"

Rest in Him Mike

Hey Mike I will agree with you in prayer for your complete healing and recovery in the name above all names, Jesus!

For it is by HIS stripes you have been healed!

Benson, that is a neat sharing to say the least.

I can surely understand your church family's amazement at how quietly God seems to work today, without the audiences and fanfare. And then waits to see who we will tell!  :)

Mike, I'm so covered up in arthritis and bone spurs fusing together to give me bamboo spine, buldged neck disks, and yet, I keep on keeping on. They say my body is trying to fuse into one stick. I'm down to 48# bow, but with a Morrison and heavy arrows, doesn't seem to matter!  :)

My neck was a mess last spring and it turned out it was from impingement in my bloody left shoulder! The body is a incredible machine and what is seemingly obvious, ----isn't!

Make sure you push them to NOT speculate but to do MRI's and such to be sure. Don't stop at one orthopedic's opinion. I had that proven to me 6 years ago with the other shoulder... they wouldn't believe it was a torn rotator till the Phys Therapist I went to school with told me to demand a Dye MRI...showed it plain as day.

Bad when you gotta tell the doc's what to do!  Don't give up!

And we'll carry you to the Lord, the great miracle healer and physician, and ask His blessings on you.

Keep the Son in your eyes!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Prayers sent from Georg[a
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!
