Bear 1336's Mom needs prayers
« on: October 29, 2008, 09:28:00 AM »
Folks, I posted this under Dave's request for healing prayers for his daughter, but felt you'd all want to keep him and his mom in prayer as well now.

I got an email from Dave that he got word his mom in FL might have had a stroke. He's been sharing care giving previously down there with a sister when his Mom has health problems..Things seemed to have stabilized, now this. He wasn't sure what the situation was as he'd just gotten the call and shot off a note he was leaving.

He was off to FL the other day to see what needed done...

Let's add prayers for God's will with his Mom's situation. Dave is a very devoted son to his Mom. May God grant them all healing, peace, strength and the Holy Spirit to comfort and hold close all in Dave's family in need.

Those of us in the "sandwich generation" between caring for aging parents and still dealing with kids, it can get especially challenging at times.

I know Dave will appreciate the prayers for healing of his beloved Mom...and for him to keep his blood sugar under control while pushing himself more than he should...

Dave wrote to me that his mom is now in rehab, his sister can't help anymore and Dave is left to do what he can a state away from his home...and it's eating him up.

Let's pray for Dave's strengtha nd peace to know his own limits and take care of his own health issues as he tends to his Mother's needs.

Lord in your mercy....

I've not heard from Dave...I'm guessing when he emailed, he was preparing to pack and leave for FL to take over duties from his sister who had to get back to work.

Indeed...prayers continue. For his Mom, but also for Dave's own personal struggles with diabetes and such other health concerns of his own!

Thanks for all the prayers for my Mom, she is out of rehab after her stroke and is at her home with my two sister.  I will spend Thanksgiving here at home and than go back to Flordia over the weekend.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

Thank You, Lord, for this progress.

David, please take care of your own health challenges while you're shuttling back and forth and living 2 lives!

Hope it works out to get Mom up closer to you in GA!

Keep the Son in your eyes, bro!
