Prayers please
« on: February 02, 2009, 06:30:00 AM »
I would like to ask for prayers for my cousin, Valerie Pettit. She was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at a few days old. She is now 17 years old. Valerie is weighing in somewhere around 80 pounds or so, and she is far and away the toughest person I have ever known, man or woman. Her stays in the hospital for treatment have been getting more and more frequent the older she has gotten. Yesterday, she was coughing up blood, and she is back in the hospital again. I ask for prayers for her, her parents, and her brother and sister. They are going through alot. Thanks.

Prayers sent for Jesus' perfect will and comfort.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Can't improve much on Benson's prayer request!

May the peace that passes all understanding keep one and all in Christ Jesus.

Jesus wrap your healing Spirit around her. Amen

Valerie is now back home and doing better for now. She still has an enormous amount of challenges to face for the rest of her life. I want to personally thank those of you who have thought of her and prayed for her. I love her like my little sister. She has been told her whole life of what she should expect. She has already lost more friends than someone someone 5 times her age. As I said earlier, she is the strongest person I know. I know that strength comes from God. Thank you.

May God's blessings and strength continue to flow through li'l Valerie while she show how God's love can help us persevere through the worst of challenges.

Bless you, Valerie. Keep the Son in your eyes!
