prayers for a fellow ganger..Doc noc
« on: June 29, 2009, 09:55:00 PM »
listen guys, Doc is in a pickle with his job situation, just about out of time on the ole unemployment train, things getting ugly, I know he sure does alot of lifting folks up on here, and I just wanted you guys to have the opportunity to do the same for a great guy, I know he's lifted my family up more than once and continues to do so, not being one to ask for much for himself, I would like to have the honor to mention him for lifting up. I know things are tough are everywhere, and only getting tougher, just know what it means to have people praying for ya. God knew about all of this yesterday, and he has a plan, but please take a few minutes and reach the throne for a fellow ganger!!!!
Lord Bless and keep ya all!!!!!!!

Prayers going up here in IN. Doc has lifted my concerns up many, many times and his posts have lifted my spirits! God has a plan and He takes care of His children. I pray for God's will and His calming and comforting hand Doc's shoulder. Mike

Prayers sent for Doc. As this world seems to spin more outta control everyday we know it's all in God's hands. Lord we lift Doc and all the others looking for work up to you and ask that You work in each situation.

Thanks, Guys...

Brad's family is the one needing prayers. His wife works for a health care provider outfit that wrings people out then buries them...she's fighting some medical problems of her own and they threaten her w/ termination if she goes "light duty" or something akin to that.

American enterprises have lost their soul.

As for my situation... it is what it is. When young, we cast about for what we find to be a passion, look for guidance in choosing a career and then we "pays our money and takes our chances."

My choice and the later life investment in advanced credentialing, just "changed" like so many career areas.

I'm not alone. All around me, young men, women and older folks without a lot of education are loosing the "fall back" jobs. People with long standing careers and plenty of education are losing jobs as their companies close or cut back severly and elminate long standing employees.

Of course, I'm scared. I'm sure everyone facing what lies ahead in the unknown is scared.

There are moments when your prayers will take up the slack and I loose momentary faith. I start blaming myself for my situation. Perhaps I didn't do enough...or should've expanded my search area regardless of my 87 yr old widowed Dad...etc, etc.

IT's easy to second-guess ourselves, even to the point where the devil starts to make us question our relationship with Jesus...

Sometimes it's our Christian friends, questioning our "walk" and ascribing sin as the reason we're not 'basking in His glory and riches."

Christ never promised a rose garden. He promised SALVATION. Those who fare well, I thank the Lord for their fortune.

I claim His promise of Salvation...not that I'll have full storehouses here on earth.

So thanks for those prayers. I can use all I can get for there are times when doubt weighs in on me like an oak tree crashing in the forest.

But this isn't about some ole fart coined the phrase "Doc Nock" cause he couldn't figure out how to orient a nock on heavy run-out grain of tapered ash arrows.  :)

This is about the fact ...well, I edited that. This isn't the place for politicizing. Suffice it to say then it's about ALL those who have lost and will continue to loose. IT's about how a majority of voters have lost the will to "do for self" and have succumbed to taking an easier path of letting others do for them.

This is about a great country that has gotten a bit off track and lost sight of God's role in making us great. And then we wonder why...

Let's keep praying for one another, there are so many among us who never post their needs. There are so many of our neighbors and people just around the corner we don't take time to know...that need us desperately.

This group, some names have changed and gone on, but this Prayer/Concerns forum and members herein, Terry included and those who support this website, have earned my loyalty here.

I've been in this mess a few years back and if it were not for what ministering I got here, and resulting email friendships, phone support, etc, I don't know if I'd have made it.

I have to keep on just to "pay it forward" because the debt of gratitude for the fellow believers who've held me up, is endless.

Thank you, Brad. Your situation over-shadow's mine tremendously. As do so many others with families.

YOU guys/gals ARE my family... so thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Keep the Son in your eyes!

"It is what it is"  and "pay it forward"....two phrases i live by.
Dave, i read your posts on this forum and most times it is like reading a daily devotional. My prayers go out for you even though somedays i wonder how the Lord can hear such a small voice as mine. Your attitude strikes me as being in a very positive place, and i pray that it will continue to stay there even in these tough times!
i guess part of the purpose of this post is to let you know that your presence here lifts me "up", and i am sure there are others here that feel the same.
May God continue to bless you.

Doc prayers continue. Hang in there & if it seems too tough to hang on anymore I ask Dad to hang on to you.

Doc,
I share in what Rastaman posted. I do also hope and most of all pray for a speedy turnaround on the job situation.

Oh, my......there are no emoticons to use that can describe how I feel reading these posts ...embarassed, grateful, humbled...the list goes on.

Rastaman and the rest: If there is anything good comes from what I pen here, it's not of me. It HAS to be from Him using me...

God knows the depth of my own sinful nature, my constant fallibility and endless struggle to do better. To steal a phrase of one I met here, "...I'm nothing more than an empty, rusty vessel." What amazes me is that God allows someone like me to be used at all!

Thank you for your prayers. Many need them big time as does our Country.

May we all, "keep the Son in our eyes!"

Doc,

I do not have the words to express how much your lifting me and Kimber up has meant to us. I struggle daily with my walk with God. I keep asking myself what I have done wrong all along knowing it is nothing I have done that has caused my situation. It is all the greed that the big businesses did before the slide started last year that caused all this for not just me, but so many many good people like yourself. It makes me so angry when I see unemployment at near 10% in this great country. If the guys in charge would just quit sending all that money overseas, and focuss on our own people in trouble so much could be done. Quit bailing out the Big Business and start helping the workers and families in so much need.

Lord, I ask you in the Mighty Name of Jesus to bring a good job to Doc as well as all the others out of work in your flock. We all need your help and quidance in our hour of need. Blessed be your Name. Amen
"Then Peter said unto them. Repent all of you and be baptized in the Name of Jesus for remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:38

I pray for you all every day. It is unfortunate that we live in "Obamanation" and "Pelosiheaven" right now and I greatly fear for this great country of ours.

May the "Great One" open their eyes before it is too late as I fear it already is.

Prayers as always
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!
