Prayers for a friend Update 2-3-10
« on: January 12, 2010, 09:31:00 AM »
Quite a while back we prayed for a friend that had testicular cancer in which he was powerfully delivered. He now has cancer of the throat and lung that are unrelated to the prior cancer. He now is in his 3rd bout of chemo so please add Jon to your prayers.
thanks

Here's an update on Jon. Appears he has a respitory infection. This is from his facebook.
" I will be admitted into Olathe Medical Center this afternoon for a couple of days of IV medications. My white blood cell count is near zero and I must have caught something."

My gracious...plenty of challenges right there!

Prayers continue for Jon's healing and renewed strength and vigor through all that is happening.

Lord in your mercy...

Heard from Jon and sounds like his humor is back. Here's what he had to say.
"Got home this morning and doing much better. Wow...what a little trip...I've had enough antibiotics over the past several days that every time I sneeze, at least three other people feel better too! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!"

Now that right there is funny! I may have to borrow that sometime.

Prayers that Jon's condition steadily improves and he's back to full strength shortly!

Well got a not from Jon and he went in for a scan and they found that the chemo wasn't working. The spots on his right lung had grown slightly and now he has one on his left lung. They have taken him off the chemo and are going to try something else.
So please continue to lift him and his family up.

Oh, Benson..... I'm so sorry to hear this for jon...sounds from his whit to be quite the character.

Let's hope they find the source and a good treatment...and in the meantime, prayers that the Lord will lift up Jon, his family and bring them closer to Him... May His Will be for Jon to be spared and healed.

I believe that prayers helped me through my bout with cancer 2 1/2 years ago. I'll send some Jons way. I'll have my wife put him on our churches prayer line.
