Truer words have never been spoken. I am in the process of finding a church to call my own. I know it's easy to slip back to how things were before when you get what you want but that only opens the door for the devil. I have always been a believer but was weak in my resolve. After days on my knees talking to and praying to God I have a knew found faith in God. This ordeal has strengthened my faith and brought me closer to the Lord. We sat up all night talking about things and will be attending church together on a regular basis. This is something that we both have been needing for a long time! God has lifted my spirit and shown me my path and for now that path has her by my side. I wonder if this ordeal was his plan to bring us both ( and her children) back to flock. I still need strength and guidance but with God all things are possible.
Keeping the Faith.

Praying for your family to be closer than you could have believed possible and that Jesus is the center and the love that holds it together. May anything that gets between anyone of your family members be removed or destroyed.

Here is something I thought about when I was reading your post. It has kept me focused a lot of times. There is one thing for sure, the devil don't want your marriage to work and he is willing to do anything to see to it that it don't. We cannot stand up to his attacks without the Lord and His protection. After 31 years of marriage I have found that out. The devil will point out all the stuff that is wrong with your mate and if you don't watch what you are doing you will start beleiving him. Read this scripture slow and offten and it will help you stay focused Eph 5:22-33 22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. 28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. 30 For we are members of His body,[a] of His flesh and of His bones. 31 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Amen, Dusty.

So many choose to only quote part of that passage and use it as license to dominate!

Christ DIED for our sins... so as He love us is powerful testament to how to love a woman, selflessly, totally, in submission and as a servant like Christ who washed His disciples feet!

Two way street with sacrifice, dedication, acceptance, tolerance and fortitude beyond belief!

May God grant us all the strength to be as He intended!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

magnus i am so happy for you. there is an illustration i wish i could draw on here, iv'e shared it before. draw a triangle, put GOD at the top, you at the bottom left corner, and your wife in the right corner. draw a line from you to her and her to you. if you grow toward eachother you may be together, if either of you grow away you will not be together. now draw a line from you to GOD, draw a line from your wife to GOD, if you both grow toward GOD you will eneviably be together. i will be praying that you both stay in his will. satan comes between us and GOD only when we allow him to. if he can break up your family, it divides churches and our nation, we can see it all around us. love, grace, forgiveness, patients, understanding and always listening to her needs are key to your marriage. our needs are so different, but as the scripture dusty shared, when we love our wives as christ loves the church, we as men can see the example. christ shows us love, he is patient, and always hears and care for our needs. if we do these things for our wives we should find joy in them, there needs will be met, THEN don't be surprised when your needs are met.ha! funny how that works, but we should never be surprised at how GOD made us.
