A friend in need
« on: December 05, 2010, 09:48:00 AM »
A friend of mine his name is Warren has been battling leukemia for nearly 10 years, over the summer his counts went to the bad side. I spoke with him during the early fall and he was slated to get a bone marrow transplant but was put on hold because of a lung infection he had developed.  I saw him last week and he was saying the doctors are still trying to get him healthy enough to go through the procedure, he has been waiting for months to get well enough. I fear the worst because he seems to be fading away, please pray for Warren to get the strength he needs to go through the procedure to get well, and for Jesus to enter his heart in case of the worst.
Proverbs 12:27
The lazy do not roast any game,
but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.

John 14:6

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Not sure what that last part meant in your request, but my first prayer will indeed be for Jesus to be in his heart...and then the Lord to use that residence to heal the physical body of your friend, Warren.

Lord in your Mercy...
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Prayers from Georgia on the way.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

it sounds as if he has never acepted christ in his life. GOD hears the prayers of christians interceding for him, but the most important prayer will come from him asking christ into his heart. my prayer to you is the strenght and boldness to talk to him about his salvation. i'm in a situation myself where i have a family member that has prostate cancer that has gone into his bones now. i keep saying i need to go talk to him, my excuses have been, he is 76, set in his ways and won't listen to me, to my sister in-law (his girl friend) was saved 3 years ago, went to church 1 year and stopped going, (possibly from pressure from him), and maybe GOD wants her to return and talk to him. GOD can sure talk to a heart, while i'm sitting hear typing this i heard his holy spirit say, maybe he wants you to talk to them both. i just realized the only and possibly the last people our freinds will hear the plan of salvation from is us. the worst thing they can do is reject christ, how awsome it will be if they acepted him. seems we both need prayer for strenght and boldness, for GOD to speak through us the words he would have us to say. my friends time is certainly running out, and i don't want to see him lost. GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO WE!
