Hug your dog
« on: June 25, 2011, 02:31:00 PM »
Just got back from the vet. I had to euthanize my old Chesapeake.

There was nothing left I could do for her, and she couldn't walk without support.

I held her in my arms till the end-she deserved no less, even though it so painful to me to watch her leave.

Goodbye, Lacey, my little girl, your ashes shall go with me, when my time comes.

Rest now, with Rusty, Gunner, Cocoa, and Bullet till you can once again sleep beside me.

Give your dog a hug-they are with us but a short time.

Randy,

Sorry for your loss...many here have shared that same grief with us.  Somewhere I read something reported a small child said, about how dogs don't live as long as people cause they give all their love away every day!

Were it that we as mankind could learn from our critters.

May peace be with you as you deal with your grief.  Dog's are people too...
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Sorry to hear.  I'm afraid I'll be saying goodbye to my English bulldog all too soon.  She's eleven and that's stretching it for the breed, tickers have a time with all that weight!  Here's my grandson with 'Grace' at my happy hunting grounds.  And yes, like God's, she's pretty amazing.  (Who wouldn't want to hug that face?...no the dog's!) Doc, will give you a shout this evening.

Very sorry for your loss Randy. I lost a best friend and family member myself and it is a pain that seems to linger. I will keep you in my prayers...

No friend, so loyal
No love so pure

A heartfelt prayer and thoughts of peace for you and yours for the loss of what truly is a famil member from one who has been there...done that.

It's pain oh so unbearable that is softened by the memories you know they intended to leave with you.

God Bless

Without them I would have gone mad long ago.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
