Sitting here in the hospital waiting for the start of the 2nd round of chemo. Praying it goes as well as the first round. Dr said my body is reacting to the chemo like it was 25 years old not 62. I'm happy, thanks for the prayers!

REading back over, I realize how much I've learned from you over our sharing of emails and time...

Thank you, Galen, for your insights and incredible faith. You've made me stronger just by association!

Prayers for His blessings to continue and the Devil to groan when you awake realizing, "Oh, Crap...Galen's up, my job just got tougher!"  :)

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Well you are never far from my prayers brother. I lift you up everytime I think about wich is almost daily. I am at work now and this has been anything but an EZ rotation. I haven't been coming every day but I have my book with you and your family in it as is the case with most of ya'll on here. Lord knows I need to pratice being on my knees because of all the time and the things I say and do when I'm on my feet. LOL!!! PRAISE the LORD for keeping you thru this treatment. What a MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE today and everyday. Lord please continue to keep my brother close to your heart and continue to heal him and his. Again thank you for giving us the knowledge to treat this stuff and I pray that someday you will give us the cure for it as well. (Pickles I'm talking about). Father I stand on your word and claim victory in this battle today. Thank you for giving us breath to praise you with today and everyday going forward.......Amen.......Dusty

Galen could use a few extra prayers. He's likely waiting for word before posting, but the chemo he's going thru can cause heart issues and some adverse things popped up this AM early so they're doing further tests before proceeding.

One step forward... then not so much so.

Asking for anyone gets on here before Galen report to us to throw up a few more prayers that his heart is fine and he can continue the Chemo...or another alternate one and no damage to the heart!

Lord in your Mercy...

I ended up being taken off the chemo until they get all the cardiac tests done as one of the chemos that I'm taking can cause cardiac arrest. They found some fluid on one lung and the blood work for the heart showed elevated levels so they did a sonogram on my heart. Cool to watch. The cardiologists (all 3 of them) decided there was no damage associated with the chemo but it may have been issues with the elevated fluid levels so I'm starting back up on the chemo but they're watching the fluid levels. Means I'll spend 3/4 the night in the bathroom. But we're back at it and I'm still feeling pretty good just tired.

Try a Foley, Galen...goes where you are and you needn't get up! Like having a built in remote!  :)

And it feels incredibly good when they take it out!  :)

glad to hear they've ascertained no damage from the chemo...

Hang in there! Take deep breaths as often as you can...just imagine that new bow plunking 50 yrd bulls at the next 3D! That'll make you breathe deep!

I just told my sister I wasn't going to apologise for shooting her in the butt when we were kids when she suggested something like that Doc!
They have me disconnected from the chemo pole so I went hiking stairs. Went up to 7th then down to 1st when I remembered I'd forgotten my M&M money so had to hike back up to 5th. Sure let me know I've been laying around. Heart still working well but likes to get lazy.
