Its with a Heavy Heart Brothers
« on: August 15, 2011, 01:39:00 AM »
It is a sad day here in Dallas. My Friend and Fellow Firefighter Lt.Todd Krodle died in the line of duty today. He was a Father, a Friend, and a Hunter. While attempting to Ventilate the Roof of a 2 Story Apt Bldg, the Roof gave way and Todd fell into the Burning  Apt Below. He leaves behind a Wife and Two Children. None of us knows when our time will come, but Todd was a Christian Man, and was called home. Hug your Loved ones a little tighter tonight, and say a prayer for the Krodle Family

When I'm called to duty God
 wherever flames may rage
give me strength to save a life
 whatever be its age

Help me to embrace a little child
 before it is too late
or save an older person from
 the horror of that fate

Enable me to be alert
 to hear the weakest shout
 and quickly and efficiently
 to put the fire out

I want to fill my calling and
to give the best in me
 to guard my neighbor and
 protect his property

And if according to your will
I have to lose my life
 bless with your protecting hand
 my children and my wife.

Prayers sent from your brothers and sisters in North Wales fire and rescue.
Hunting was hazardous, but at least it guaranteed the freedom of the individual.

There is no doubt that the onset of farming saw the end of leasure for the majority of people, who were destined to toil in the fields.

Suty,

I anxiously followed the story all day yesterday. First reports were a Firefighter was taken to a hospital, then late yesterday, it was reported that he had passed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Courage takes many forms in this day and age and police, medical personnel, fire fighters and our military all deserve our honor and respect.

Prayers of peace for the family left behind.

Suty -

As you probably know, it was all over our local news here in the D/FW area last night. This is where I first learned of this sad event. Our Ellis County Emergency Services District meets tonight with the Midlothian and Ovilla Fire Departments. Todd and his family will be remembered in prayer before the meeting.

Thanks To All, it will be a long week here at Dallas Fire Rescue. Todd and I worked in 6 District on the same shift, in Oak Cliff for years. He was riding up as the Captain, since his Captain was offf, that's why he was doing Truck Work. I am a "Truckie" myself, so it hits close to home. Our Ambulance was the one that took him to Parkland. In any case, again Thanks To All of You for your continued Prayers for the Krodle Family.         Sutty

Prayers for God's best

Prayers sent from Georgia.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!
