Prayers for a Special Friend's Last Trip
« on: September 22, 2011, 04:09:00 PM »
May your arrows fly even straighter and more consistent than they did on the occasions that we shot together.

Today, during early morning hours, my dear brother-in-law, Larry Horne, passed, after fighting the disastrous after-effects of a stroke, for a couple or so terrible years, bless his huge heart. We all know he is in a better, more comfortable place now, and his whole self once again, the way we all knew and loved him. I send my deeply heartfelt condolences, and those of my wife, to my sister, Vivian (his wife), his children, all the rest of his family, and his many many friends. Was he really our brother-in law? I think not, for he was always more like another brother/son in our family. Hunt God's greatest herds well, Larry, ski the very best snows, and enjoy your "highest" golf games ever. I always loved you, even if I did pull the hairs on your big toes when I was a brat kid brother.
Praise the Lord Larry went rather quietly in his sleep, after a particularly hard day.

Prayers for God's best
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

An uncle battling bone cancer once said powerful words to me, while claiming Christ would "heal" him, and I asked, "But Bob, what if not?"

He put his arm around my shoulders and looked me in the eye and said, "Son, even death is God's perfect healing".

May we all find such peace to know that we are again made perfect in His presence and not fear nor regret, but celebrate that life which was here and left it's mark.

Prayers for Peace that pass all understanding for you and yours, Bernie!

Keep the Son in your eyes, Ole Hoss!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!
