A Praise Report
« on: November 16, 2011, 11:35:00 AM »
I suffered an (i guess) extreme injury to my left hand on 11/2.  My poor hand met up with the working end of a circular saw.  It could have been alot worse, but I did lose part of my ring finger and basically skined my pinkie finger.  I was faced with a choice of letting the doc cut off the pinkey or cut a chunk (skin graf) out of the palm of my hand.  He (doc) diddnt wanna cut off a good finger and assured me the procedure would work.  So I kept my pinkey, went back a week after the sugery and he said he was very happy with how it looked.   So all the credit goes to Jesus who guided the docs hands.
The only bad news is I can not hold my bow, yes I think about it every day, and I keep putting off hunting, thinking that I would hit it really hard in november.  Anyhow, I just wanted to tell everybody how good GOD is...

These pics are from my last doc visit.

The big cut (stiches) down my hand is from the doc and not the saw.  The skin from the cut is now on my little finger..

Praise God for His protection
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Michael,

Thank you for offering a praise post! We tend to only think of asking for intercession and then offer praise... mia culpa (if that is the right spelling...didn't take latin).

Forgive me Lord for not being outwardly more grateful for all you do daily!

Michael, that is a bit "grizzly" but my dad, a cabinet maker, worked with a guy who had many of his digits trimmed with saws.

You will heal and shoot again. Just be smart and not push too hard for THIS year... steady as she goes.  Blessings still require patience for full recovery!

Prayers for great outcomes and continued healing!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”.
