Humbled by God's graces
« on: January 12, 2012, 03:29:00 PM »
Received some great news from the doctor the other day, and I am certainly humbled by receiving His good graces.

The past few months have been seeing the doctor about some issues related to my prostate.  There is a history of prostate cancer in my family, father and uncles have had prostate cancer.

During a routine physical and blood work, my PSA levels were quite high (over 10). Got referred to a Urologist, who put me on anitbiotics and scheduled a biopsy.

The biopsy was done on 20 Dec, so the holidays, while very good, were a little worrisome.  I had prepared myself for the worst and had accepted that outcome and would prevail with the Lord's help and guidance.

Well, this past Monday I found out the results.  With my girlfriend sitting next to me.  The biopsy was negative!!!!  Praise the Lord.

I read the requests on here nearly everyday and prayer for each and everyone of you for all to the trials some of you are going through.

I still have some issues to get the matter fixed, but the doctor is confident it can be resolved with little effect of quality of life.

God is great and I am humbled to be in his good graces, with all the pain and suffering going on these days.

THAT is a skeleton in many of our closets...

I'm so glad that you have such good news! PSA = 10 is Wow country...I think I'd come unglued... but so grateful the biopsy was negative.

Keep us posted, brother!

Nick, Thanks for sharing that with us and thanks for your prayers for me as well. If you ever run out of things to pray for or about you can pray for me as I can always use them. I too love to come here and read the encouraging words that are given here on this site. I bet there is hardly a trial or trail that happens that someone on here has not walked. With that walk they have been given insight that they can share with others. So again thank you for your prayers and time.......Continue to PUSH on our behalf

Praise God
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])
