Prayers for your mother and all your family

Sorry for your loss Philip. I went through it a few months back with my dad. I know you will miss him, from your description he was a fine man and a good father.
May god give you strength.

By your description, this man raised a fine loving family and knew where he was bound. Both are goals for us all to emulate. Please accept my condolences on your loss, but heavens gain.

The ache of loss diminishes with Time... and faith.

Memories retold & shared seem to help KEEP the person, now with God, alive in our lives.  Don't shy from those memories...the bittersweet moments tend to move toward more joy, even if joyful tears, as we relive the impact on our lives, of those now departed.

You and your family are still in my prayers. The road with your mother I know will be difficult, I wish you the best of luck.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Phillip,

I offer my condolences.  I lost my Dad in October to pulmonary fibrosis.  This Christmas was difficult but the one thought that brought my Mom, siblings, and me great comfort was knowing his suffering in this life was over, which you also experienced.  One of the thoughts that has made Dad's passing easier has been to accept each memory not as a moment of sadness, but as a moment of joy, a moment to celebrate his life and all the joy he brought to our lives.  It will be tough for awhile but it will get better with time.
Please take comfort in having a father who loved you.  I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers!
