Please keep Hammond family in your prayers.
« on: June 07, 2014, 01:00:00 PM »
Please pray for the Hammond family. Ray and Ms. Gloria are in Florida with his Dad. Ray's Dad is not doing well. I know it is tough for him.

Prayers sent from Ga...
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

I was down at Hog Heaven while my Dad was lingering in nursing care... Ray took me to a spot where even ATT could get a cell signal.

He was understanding then, and I understand his stress and the weight of the wait...

Prayers for Peace that pass all understanding

thank you, friends.

Dad left us around 6 this evening-his heart just gave up.

He's going to be interred at Arlington National Cemetery sometime this week.... he was a great man... one of those quiet types that just goes about getting things done without all the hooplah.

I love you, Pop.

My uncle, on the occasion of a relapse of bone cancer, told me, "Son, even Death is God's perfect healing!"

Took me YEARS to be able to think, type or say that without nearly coming unglued! But over time, I'm grateful he'd shared that view with me...courageous, ----and true.

Your Father is now with OUR FATHER and at peace. May God's peace that passes all understanding keep you and yours in his Holy Hands! And His healing Grace, hold you steadfast in comfort and rest thru this next phase of "good-bye"

Keep the Son in your eyes, Ray!

Just read of Mr. Hammond's passing. Judging by his son, he was a right fine man.

I just saw this. I am sorry for your loss, Ray.
My mom is in Arlington, and it appears that my dad will join her sooner than later. It is a tough road that you have travelled.
