HOWDY, IVE ALWAYS WONDERED WHY BOB SWINEHEART IS NOT LISTED IN THIS SECTION AS HE WAS A GREAT HUNTER and I BELEIVE HE WAS THE FIRST TO SHOOT THE BIG FIVE AND THE RHINO WITH TRAD.

Do some research, write up a good post and submit it.  One might be started.

I would like to learn more about Mr Swineheart.

I don't know.

I agree...I had one of my archery customers "Borrow" my copy of Saggitarius and never returned it. Been hunting this Bas...d down for 3 yrs now. Swinehart was a great hunter who fell on hard times, personal problems.

Bob's son was going to get me some stuff together a couple of years ago....but I haven't heard back from him.

Pope and Young have a lot of stuff in books, but if you got some pics and movie footage, gather it up, post it up, and we'll add them up.

Most of those were started a few years ago, now the site takes up so much time with other extras there's not much time left.

Rather than start a new thread or if momentum gets going it may warrant one. I'm trying to get confirmation that my googling skills are NOT failing and that Sagitarius by Bob Swinehart is not available as a curently published item...

This situation seems incredible to me..having missed the opportunity many years ago to purchase the book..Is there a reason?

Surely there are enough archers around that do not have a copy that would jump at the chance to get one. Should we put a call out and see. I think like some others that it is a pity that Bob is as little mentioned as he is but that in many cases can be blamed on a lack of exposure rather than desire by old and new archers alike surely..Come on lets get this book back in publication or made free on the internet.

Also as an aside, Interesting that my post follows another Aussie, Pedro who passed away in the last 6 months will I know be missed by many of the Trad archers at the various easter shoots coming up. I only knew him second hand and by reputation but by all accounts he was a good bloke and showed the best qualities of a true aussie larrikin.
