My Dad
« on: May 08, 2016, 09:15:00 AM »
Please pray for my family.  My dad is 82, and about 1 month ago, became really sick.  He couldnt walk or talk.  He had bilateral pneumonia and a kidney infection.  The hospital put him on the strongest antibiotics they had for 12 days, and he got worse.  A CT scan was done, and we found out that he has a spot on his brain and a cancerous tumor on his colon the size of a tennis ball.  The doctors said he was too weak for any treatments, and my dad would have never went for that anyway. He is now in hospice.  We are doing only what we know to do-read him the Bible, pray and play music in addition to keeping him comfortable until God heals him or takes him home.  I know without a doubt that he is going to Heaven.  That makes this all a little easier.  My dad really lived what he preached, every day.  He really has a heart for the lost.  Please pray for my mom and my family to stay strong.  I hope every one of you all are doing well.

Liz, I will be praying for you and your family. He may be leaving his earthly shell but you will be seeing him again in his glorified heavenly body. God Bless you and your's, and may his passing be peaceful surrounded by his loved ones.

Thank you all.  My dad passed Monday morning.  He was a great man who truly lived what he preached.  We are all still in shock, but we know the way he went was a blessing.  I know I will see him again, and even though I miss him terribly, I am happy for him and where he is right at this very moment.

Praising God for the Hope He has provided. Praying that God will bless you and your family with a special knowledge of the Joy your father is experiencing in the presence of Jesus.

Ms. Frost,

Missing terribly is part of the grief process. Even Christ cried for Lazarus.  Grief then, is a process, not an event.

Trick is to go THRU the process and not get stuck at one spot..

My own father lingered in a nursing home with marginal care and when he died, it was a blessing, but that was 2012 and there are moments where it still hits me!

I see that as it should be for those we loved and cherished.

May God's peace that surpasses all understanding, keep you all in His Grace!
