Tis the season
« on: December 14, 2016, 10:00:00 AM »
I'm not a Christmas Card person... I like to get them, sure, but with what they cost only to be thrown away in a few weeks when the decorations come down... I don't send them...

But, I did want to come here and wish our prayer warriors a most Joyous of Christ-mas season and the most prosperous and healthiest of new year!

Peace on Earth..wouldn't that be something?!

Richard,

Knee is ok...nothing more then that but ok... it still is stiff and hurts some but it moves...

Shoulder is coming around...some weak movements but his many months later it's hard to keep doing exercises... I was getting what I like better... doing stuff but with cold weather that has tamed down so I need to get back to Body Nazi routine...

Thanks for the well wishes... I notice the "holiday spirit" seems less as I age, but then I hope the focus is more on the "reason for the season" and less on the hype.

God's love, grace, and presence keep us free from religion and full of the freedom Jesus purchased with His blood.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Merry Christmas all.
As far as Christmas cards go, what we do in our family: when we receive a Christmas card we tape it up to the door that we all enter and leave the house through this allows us to see the pictures and cards throughout the season. By the end of the season usually our door is completely covered.  Then over the next few months, we take down a couple of cards each night at dinner and as a family we pray for the person/persons/family that the card represents.

So that is one thought for how to make the cards last longer and get some value out of sending them.

Blessings of the advent season to all
Marc

Marc, I like that... A lot!

The cost of cards anymore then postage, knowing most just keep them till Jan 1st then ditch em keeps me using other vehicles to express the "reason for the season".

You have a true prayer filled way of dealing with it so kudos to you and yours!

Doc, thanks for your kind words. We all are very blessed, and at Christmas, most of us are especially thankful. Let's hope people everywhere can find peace in the coming year. Merry Christmas to all.

Happy Christmas all.  We are well and truly blessed, myself more than I ever expected or deserved.

For this old military man, what I pray for most of all is peace so that is my wish for you all this season.

A Merry Christmas to all, and especially all those who keep us safe both home and abroad.  Rejoice in HIS birth, and his legacy.  HE suffered for OUR salvation.  May God Bless you and your families.

Whoa, Gilbert, I thought the salt water machines were turned off by now after this moving holiday, but reading that, brought the water works again.

Powerful.  Simple. Elegant.

Thank you... Happy New year all!
