Iron Mtn,
I was planning on taking 25 rolls.  Looks like I need to maybe take more!  I will be in Kruger for 2 days prior to the  hunt.  How many photos did you take while hunting?

Jim; about  a year prior to the hunt I switched from film to digital because of the fear concerning xray, enough film etc, the cost to transition from SLR film to digital was pretty good but all my lenses still worked for the new Digital slr body plus I gained magnification due to the x factor ie the 300mm lense is like a 420 etc. Not to get to off on photography as I know some guys will get jumpy, I took over 3000 images but reviewed and sorted and deleted each night and burned to a CD, worked great, In the blind I took probably 350-500 images alot I have blown up and they (IMO) a great....If I need an africa fix I just pull out the photos. If you want/need any other info about this let me know.Intial investment for the  camera body was hefty but balanced with the total cost of the trip it was worth it plus I will have it for hopefully future trips, given that most of us will have a wish list of 7-10 animals and if even remotely successful you will have alot of fun photo hunting.I did but I dig animal pictures....
Like your Freedom.....Thank a VET.

My wife and I also will be taking our first trip to Africa this year. We thought it would be our one and only time but we have been told by several people that no one goes to Africa once. I was hoping to take an early retirement this year if it were offered to me but I guess that is out of the question. Now that I know I'll need to pay for a return trip I better stay working. Darn it!
