John was a real killer - he shot 6 animals with his 50# @ 28" SA. He doesn't quite pull 28". Arrows were 500 grain CX shafts tipped with Grizzly heads. Got most of his shots on video. He was 6 for 6 on big game. Only a jakal managed to elude his arrows.

I only shot the zebra and eland. Eland would be in the top 5 bow kills if entered.

Some awsome critters there! Congratulations to John on some fine shooting. You to Denny, way to go.Two months,twenty-four days and fifteen hours and I'm on the big bird to Windhoek to hopefully stare down some of those same animals that you guys brought home.It just makes me feel good to see a young guy like john "tippin" them over. Keep it up.

Denny, who did you go with? I went to Africa 2 years ago and it was difficult to say the least, only took an impala and a warthog in 10 days. The animals had been hit very hard by the previous two groups of compound hunters so were as jumpy as a grasshopper in a chicken coop. I'll bet a pressured warthog is the fastest reacting animal on the planet...can't tell you how many outran my arrow at 20-25 yards!

Would like to start planning for 2006 and take my family to see the country I fell in love with, looking for recommendations.

Hey Joe, I'm pretty close to you myself, in Snellville. I'd be glad to give you some recommendations. Give me call or email me.
