As stated above, I personally am very leary of any place that increases the charge due the the size of the animal.  Not only is it a little trick used to drive up the price, it is also something very indicative of being a purely "put & take" operation.  Some don't mind this type of ranch, I for one prefer a management style outfitter.

The outfitter I use for hunts in RSA, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique does not do any stocked animal hunts. He does have size charge difference for RSA Kudu.

Up to 54" is one price...
54" and over is another price......

If your PH tells you it is 53 7/8" and after you shoot it the tape shows it to be 54" plus........you pay the lower price.

Well, there is a price change for bull elephant as well, but I have never heard of them not being priced by tusk weight.
