I can’t make up my mind. It sounds like a great time but it will cost me $500 in plane tickets and room fees alone. I have never been to one of these events so it seems like a gamble to me. I wish they would post some pictures to help promote the event.

We have an outdoor show here in KC every year and I have gone a few times with great anticipation only to be let down. No archery to speak of and defiantly no traditional archery. A lot of fishing, RV, vehicle and book a trip booths but nothing that I would travel from out of state to go and see.

I need some reassurance I think. I know this is a 100% traditional archery show but will I be able to try different bows out? What are some of the other booths?

KC guys….how many from around here plan to make this journey?

I'm heading up for the first time. I live in WV and it is 450 miles for me. Probably stay the night and head back home on Sunday. I "need" to check out the ACS CX bows that I am waiting for. Todd

Think of it as a gun show but trad archery only. Many bowyers, a couple full line suppliers and many accessory booths. Some very cool historical booths, and some good instructional booths and seminars.

Yes you can shoot bows. There are two small (4 lane) ranges, but they are only 30 foot or so.

I've been to almost all of them.

Boy jeff that little blonde waitress is going to miss all those sweet things you and Matt promise her every year! If they are smart the women will drive  :scared:
I see that you mentioned wives. Did Matt finally find someone that can show him how to shoot or does she just help him draw his bow back?

Jeff, I'm looking at driving down by myself this year. My wife has surgery the week before and won't be ready to travel. I'll miss her. She bought me 2 bows at Compton's and I always do way better when she is there to approve my purchases!

I've been disappointed the last 2 times that I've gone.  Seems to be getting smaller.  The best part (for me) is seeing old friends.  The real disappointment is the 30 foot range.  I can't tell much about a bow, at that range, with the exception on smoothness of draw and hand shock.
