All you cane arrow guys

I have been messing around with some rivercane latey and making SLOW progress. I was just in Lowes and found a new supply of bamboo tomato stakes. $0.59 a piece. I know you can but it cheaper but you can cull before you buy, they sell individually. I picked out 5 really good one today and they are already close to being arrows. Gonna go back for more soon

All the ones ive seen that they sell individually, are too heavy of spine. I buy bamboo stakes at home depot. They come in packs of about 8 or 9 that are six foot long. I think they are 1.99 a pack. Do some sorting and you can find the packs with the most useable pieces. I can usually manage 6 a pack.

All the Lowes stores in my area quit carrying them for reasons unknown to me, probibly so they can sell the more expensive synthetic stakes.  But I have a few places that I hunt that have a virtual forest of rivercane growing and I harvest a couple dozen when I need them.
