loc on stand

I'm interested in a small easy to hang stand. I like the look of the chippewa ghost, but I don't know the price. The other stand is the small loc on,the windwalker,I think. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of these?

Hey DirtyB,
Don't know anything about the Chippewa, but here is the web site for Loc-On.
http://www.locontreestandsllc.com/
I've used the Loc-On with good luck. I believe, and don't go to the bank on this, they were out of business for a while until some one from Ohio took over the company. Sounds like they are up and running again.
Good luck.

Chippewa's are high, but the best. Easy to hang, solid, and quiet. Lightweight too. I have the chief, and am thinking about getting the ghost. Don't knbow how comfortable i'd be in it as small as it is, but it would sure be easy to pack.

I won't spend more than 45 minutes or so in it.I want it for when we drive deer. The loc on windwalker is only $113.00. That will probably be the one,if chips are high price.Limited funds here.

I've been using a windwalker for a few years now and I love it. It's light, quiet and easy to set up.

those that have the loc-on, do you use the chain or rope to hold the stand to the tree?

I've hunted and own both, the Chippewa Ghost is the way to go it cost more but its all about safety and a safe hookup.

I have 3 Loc On's. All the Lem model. I really like the compact size and lightweight of these stands. I use the rope to secure the stand to the tree. I use these with the lone wolf sticks and can hunt from just about anywhere I choose. The rope makes it silent to set up and with the lone wolf sticks I can be up and hunting in less than 15 minutes, silently.
